Gainesville has been my home for over 20 years, but I was raised in South Florida, where I first discovered my love for dance, rhythm, and performing. Let’s just say… it’s been a minute since those days.It feels like another lifetime, a few hairstyles, and several pairs of dance shoes ago!I attended Florida State University, where I earned my master’s degree in Interior Design, and these days, I’m fortunate to work with an incredible tribe of women at House Dressing Interior Design here in Gainesville. Not only are they wildly talented, but they’re also endlessly fun and full of great energy. Over the years, they’ve taught me so much - about design, creativity, and how to make everything look effortlessly beautiful - something I’m hoping also applies to dancing tonight.I’ve been happily married to my husband, Ed Hoosh, for many years, and we’ve recently entered the exciting (and slightly quieter) phase of being empty nesters. Our two daughters, Madilyn and Olivia, are both away at college, which means I suddenly have a little more free time… apparently just enough to agree to dance in front of all of you at Dancing for a Cause 2026!While I’m excited to show you what I’ve (hopefully) still got on the dance floor, I’m even more excited to help raise money for three incredible organizations: Bridging Hope, Center Point, and Alliance for Literacy. Here’s my proposal to all of you: the more money you donate, the better I promise to dance. No guarantees about perfect rhythm - but with enough donations, I may even attempt a spin… and stick the landing.
